GRAPHIC CONTENT: Just another day in Murder City

So Chicago, that lovely city that's on track to become the first American city to clock 500 murders in one year, is vying to get the 2016 Olympics, and with TDL's help, have probably already locked them up. One young Chicagoan who won't get to experience the peaceful competition is the student who gets clocked by the 2x8 (several students are hit, you'll know it when you see it). This story is screaming atop Drudge right now, and it's just another example of the out-of-control gang-violence that is a common occurrence in Chi-town. Of the too-many things to mention that are depressing about this, note that after the boy (a student who was trying to help another student and reportedly not affiliated with a gang) is hit by the plank, the beatdown begins. The boy was murdered, on video in the hottest of blood.

The racist meme thrown at folks like myself gets particularly galling when one considers that the worst cities in this country to be poor and black are cities controlled by Democrats. This is not partisan, it's a fact. Detroit. Chicago. Baltimore. Cleveland. D.C. Cleveland. Cincinatti. The list goes on and on an on. The schools are terrible, welfare dependency soars far above the national averages, dropout rates are absurd, the incarceration rate for black men under the age of 25 just as sad ... the beat goes on. Much of this miasma owes to LBJ's War on Poverty - look where it's gotten us. American blacks have been pouring into the south over the last two decades, in part because of nihilism like you see here. Such a sad, sad statement.
